Charleston is about 8hrs from here. I would love to take it to him, but I don't think it would workout to well.
I found a local guy who will do the rebuild for $2k which includes all parts and labor. He said he only uses borg-warner parts and that also includes a new torque converter. He knows the transmission pretty well he said that he will install a larger trans cooler and he said he always removes the check ball. Most everyone else wanted $2600 for the same job. I figure $2K is about where I would end up with the ebay trans for $1200 plus labor and misc. parts and fluids.
