Hi,
When I stop at a light then accelerate, the truck shakes for a second or 2 (from 3 to 6 mph approx.) The guy who sold me the truck told me it was just the vibration rubber on the transmission mount that needed to be replaced. What do you guys think?

Sounds like maybe a rear ujoint.... I just changed one in my wifes Blazer not long ago, it was doing the same thing as yours, vibration while accelerating...

When mine shook as you described, it was because it was misfiring and needed a tune up.

 

+1 on the misfiring i had the same problem a while back, just a bad plug wire.

 

If it was misfiring, would that happen just by stepping on the gas in neutral, mine doesn't do it, only when accelerating from 5 to 10kmph.

Hi there neighboor !

 

Look under your truck at the rubber mount that connects to the tranny it is possible its worn out like the PO stated and just needs to be replaced

 

So after I spent 104.00$ on a new tranny mount, the problem is still here. The tran mount was due though...

Next step, ujoint and misfiring...

I forgot to mention that the truck was dropped by the PO of about 4 inches. Could it be the angle of the driving shaft ??

Before the rear u-joints going out shattered my t-case I had the same issue. Now that I have a new t-case and better yet new rear u-joints, no more shaking.
