lol wouldn't trust it. Just get a factory set ordered in they go on pretty easy and I have lifted my truck up with them.

Given the stresses they'll be under if you ever use them, I wouldn't trust them. If one breaks, it's the guy doing you the favor who pays the penalty, and that's just not a nice thing to do to someone who's being helpful.

I love Harbour Freight for my spare set of tools and stuff to keep in my truck box or the tool I know I won't use more than a few times. However, I have bent and broke too many of their tools to make much of anything from there really important to me. My tow hooks are the one thing in 13 years I paid for a dealer to do after I bought it.

NO...nor would I buy thier pretty chrome ones for looks. The chrome starts pitting and rusting after the first car wash.

yea i know their straps are junk, i picked up a decent chain to use, its so much nicer.

i figured the hooks were junk, im just not interested in paying $150 for 2 stupid hooks that should have come factory with the truck to begin with, and im thinking about putting a bull bar up front anyway. im gonna just see if there is some way to bolt on a mount for shackles.

We used to lay a heavy shop blanket or wool blanket over the straps or chains when I was in the Military keeps the windshield mishaps to a minimum LOL!!! Just sayin...

You could just get a junkyard Reese hitch, cut the mounts off it and weld it to the front crossmember on the frame.
You'll be out all of 30$ not including the extension to get it past the bumper.

yea i was considering that, but i dont have a welder that can tackle a job like that, nor could i even weld for the life of me. i just have a little $400 MIG welder that plugs into a 120v outlet. works good for small stuff, the only thing i can do is tack weld anyway, and they always come out looking like hell.
