Default Why cant I use 4wd leveling spacers on a 2wd?

I am finding limited options for spacers for my 01 2wd 1500. I cant find anything over 2" and I would like to put blocks on the back but still want it to sit level.

I guess what I am asking is can I make 4wd spacers work on my 2wd. I am pretty good at "rigging" this to work.

Thanks

Anything over 2in and your gonna have to get new control arms just fyi. 2in is actually pushing it. Your gonna go through ball joints like crazy and the steering geometry is gonna be some kind of messed up. I'd spend the cash if you've got it on a complete suspension lift or something. I decided not to do my 2in ones because I do not have the time to replace ball joints every year. I might go 1.5in just to level the truck out. Less wear and tear on the suspension parts.

Im not sure on ball joints going out every from a 2in lift in the front but.....I put in 2.5 coils and have no problems with control arms, now with a 3in you need the control arms. Still running the stock size shocks because im happy with them and dont see spending money on it until needed, have had them in for about 5k and havent had a problem related to them yet

Also daystar makes a 1.5in, 2in, and 2.5in spacer

I was told by several shops including an offroad shop that does nothing but create huge 4x4 race trucks that I would eat through ball joints faster than normal. I was kinda iffy on the actual size of the spacer though. I always thought 2in was pushing it.
