So the cost of a built 360 is bunk unless you consider a CAI and new plug wires built. Craigslist is the best place to find the truck you just have to be patient. There are several online with tranny and t case anywhere from 1300 to 2500. If you're going to do it do it don't let others stop you all you need to have fabricated is motor mounts PM if you have any questions I'm more than happy to help. Also the guys on the Dakota forums are a good source for hemi swaps.
I will chime out when you are complete, and it runs perfect. Make sure that you keep us updated on your progress and tally all costs.

When I was an assistant Wrestling Coach at a HS in California. THe Head coach's father had a 2ndgen ram and he wanted to put a hemi in there. He got an engine and tranny for 3000 from a collision. He had to do metalwork on the crossmember to get the engione to fit under the hood and get the tranny mounted correctly. THen he had a "NIGHTMARE" of a wiring fiasco to ensure that everything was WIRED and FUSED like the hemi. He told me that he basically merged both wiring harnesses. He had fuel problems because the hemis ran at a different PSI.

The guy I am talking about actually works at Reggie Jackson's (Former NY Yankee) shop where they restore cars for auction. Located in Seaside Ca.

It is not a simple DROP IN.
