Default engine question.

Hey guys! :P haha i have a 1998 Dodge durango with a 318 in it... tranny will let go soon.. so yea i pretty much hate the dam thing.. i also have a 1999 Dodge ram with a 318 both automatic 4X4 and the 1999 has 384 000KM and still running strong but has knocking Valves and is starting to smoke black n blue n stuff haha..

so that's my story.. now my Question...

Does the 1998 Dodge Durango engine fit in the 1999 Dodge Ram 1500. now i want an easy engine swap.. my Durango engine has 200 000 KM and i plan on opening it up to rebuild the engine if you masters can tell me if it fits. now in the 1999 i have a Diablo computer chip or somthing like that anyways with the display n all there 700$ setup.. and i want to make sure they are exctly the same and if i do the engine swap all my mods should fit and all the wires and sensors should be the same and all

Thanks for your time everyone!

Let me move this to the technical section, and not the general discussion. Try to get you some answers.

Engines are the same. Just transfer the intake and sensors off the current truck motor, to the one you wanna toss in there. (and fix the plenum while the intake is off......)
