Does the '97 magnums have the EGR valve? What year did they start putting those in?

'96 was a split year. I looked more into mine and it doesn't have it. My nephew's '96 does.

So im just about done prepping my manifold and was debating on deleting the egr. I think im going to plug the hole on the manifold and make a block off plate for the exhaust manifold. I may just cut the tube coming off the exhaust mani and pinch it though.

Im trying to think of cons to doing this but I am coming up blank. Anyone else have some input.

You have a 2001, you shouldn't even HAVE EGR????

Lol sorry. Its my '95. My buddy is no longer buying it, just renting it. I will be getting it back in a couple of months. He needs something that will seat 4. This sat I am performing the intake swap and fixing a tranny leak.

Ok, that makes more sense. Go ahead and just block it. Another member just gets an egr code every 3k miles or so. No worries.
