Default 2001 advice

I'm sure this is somewhere but can some of you help me out. Looking at a 2001 Ram 1500, auto, 4x4, ext. cab, 100,00 mi., towing package, 5.2L. Have a '98 Dakota and know about their problems so what are the common problems of the '01 Ram.

Plenum Gasket.

Torque converters. (transmissions in general......)

Cracking transfer case? Not sure how common that one is.

Transmission check valve. (on the cooler lines)

Probably a lot of the same issues you see on your Dakota.

cracked dash, weak transmissions, steering can be poor, front end seals, bearings, u-joints, ball joints are simple but can be very expensive to repair. no selectable rear locker. low HP/death flash, needs tuner. front axle cad prone to fail, needs posilok.

99 and back is a little weak on braking. 00,01 is better.

other than that, they're fine. check pricing against KBB private part, don't overpay.

01 offroad is the best. get one of these and you will have to overpay. its got 2" lift, larger tires, and 4.10 gears from the factory.
