Default a/c blower motor

Sometimes my blower motor will not come on, but if i tap on it a couple of times it will fire up and work. I took it out all the connections were good it worked perfect will i had it out and didn't act up for a couple of days. Sometimes when its on highest setting it only blows like its on 3rd setting. Ok so my question is has anyone had this problem and if so was it your blower motor or something else like the resistor or something?

Im thinking its probably the blower motor slowly going out but hey who knows could be something else. I hate just changing parts.

Is there a blower motor relay on these trucks? I had a chrysler minivan with one that crapped out and exhibited the same behavior.

I believe so. I could change that around and see if it stops it.

sounds like your blower motor is done..tapping it when it hits a flat spot is just prolonging its life alittle longer but at the risk of damaging other electrical componets by creating a higher draw to keep it operating...

tapping on it is probably shaking the brushes around and getting a connection. its going out, but who knows, you might get a couple more years out of it.

Default Blower motor relay

Does anyone know where the blower motor relay is on 2002 Dodge pickup? Blower motor tested good. Put new resistor on. Changed control panel, still doesnt work.
