Default 2-3red gear misshsift

under wot i find that the truck misses the third gear and revs to almost readline. i let off the throttle and then it finds the gear. i believe the tranny had been already rebuilt once before. if its in OD off it sometimes goes into gear just fine. any posts to help would be nice or if you could point me in the right direction.

Give it some time before you complain about people not having advice. Also if you look at the other threads there is already threads asking the same question and answers have been given. Don't forget you can use the search function.

Check out this thread that I found by searching.

After waiting less than an hour you have that to say?

Hint: When you find a group of people willing to deliver up truly valuable advice for free, don't be impatient or rude.

So is it the 2-3 shift or the 3-OD shift that misses.

2-3 check the forward band adjustment, the line pressure via a scanner, and if the 1-2 shift is a little soft, move the TV cable back about 1/16th an inch.

Line pressure in 3rd with OD locked out should be about equal to mph if you are on cruising on a flat surface with minimal load on the trans. So 60MPH should be about 60PSI reading on the scanner.

Default sorry bad day

it was just one of those days that keep kicking you when your already beat down. those of you that turn the other check and still helped. thank you.
i put the truck back up in my warehouse. so i will have to check next weekend. but the problem i have the most is i never have a good time finding things using the search tool. really do suck at searches. i could look up **** and end up finding a real non sex site. try that but it takes looking for things.

as far as the truck a friend had owned it and was starting to get difficult to pay for it. i liked it and had some money laying a round and got a loan to cover the difference. i have not yet devoured the fsm to figure out the trans and all codes for the truck. was wondering instead of rebuilding it should i get a different one that is better. i think i got the ****ty trans. unlike the 93 grand cherokee 5.2 limited with the 46rh(factory) solid like a rock and select track(swapped in) t-case. i can beat the ever living hell out of it and it has 180500miles and keeps going like it loves that ****.

i looked at linkage seems all the way in. wouldn't it do it in first then, too. need professional grade scan tool to see line pressure? i need to send my auto link one in the screen is shot but one line in center.
