Default 1998 ram 4x4 5.9 gas motor needs a new motor

I have a 98 dodge ram ext cab short bed 4x4 5.9 gas motor.friday i blew both head gaskets.Im fixing to put a reman motor in it being that she has 225.000 on her.any ideas where i can get one that is realiable?

How much ya wanna spend? Want to stick with stock? Or get a bit of added performance? Gonna do the work yourself? Or have someone else put it in?

Look at Mopar, they do offer warranties with there new motors.

id get one of these http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/BPE75500.asp a little on the expensive side...almost double what i paid for my truck lol

Thats actually not bad, but for that kind of money, you could buy a whole new truck or in my case, a spare race engine for my Subaru.

its gonna have to be a stock replacement for now.i plan on taking it to a shop and have them swap it out being i dont have tools or the know how and being that my back is busted up pretty good
