i have a summit racing 3" catback dual exhaust on my '01. its got a nice deep tone and its not too loud. sounds nice. i plow, and my accounts approve of the sound. i paid 211 including shipping i believe. its much much quieter than the glass pack i had on there. if you want. i have the stock midpipe and tail pipe. all you would need is the muffler. id let it go cheap. but you have to cover shipping costs.

You can get resonator exhaust tips, yes.

In fact, the quietest thing you can do is probably get the Thrush turbo muffler from Advance like others have said, then add a Nice, LONG resonator or resonator tip, then angle it at the ground. I'll dig around and see what I can find price wise and see if I can get a total cost type thing for you.

Use one of these:

Plus this muffler (thrust turbo)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-17715/
Then add a turn down at the end of the resonator

Total estimated cost (depending on your pipe size) including exhaust clamps to make it all easy to remove:
About $75 total

That will make your exhaust very quiet. The thrush turbo is a perforated tube 3 chamber design (it might be 2 chamber, but still). It's very quite. I actually keep on in my house for when I get pulled over and the cops give me a fix-it ticket. I go home, slap it on, go to the station, get it written off, come back home and take it back off.

That

They make resonator tips but I don't think that's going to cut it enough. Pacesetter Monza makes them IIRC.

If you have a flowmaster 40, throw it on after the glasspack and be done with it.

Yea 50% might be asking a lot! I think I'm gonna get a resonator exhaust tip finish the exhaust pipe (right now its dumped out of the muffler) and have it turned down. I think that will be an ok noise level.

I would not worry too much about the exhaust. Wait till you here how much noise the plow makes when it slams down and it's scraping along a hot top driveway.

I have heard it many times every now and than when I needed to be bald out of the deep snow's I would have a friend come over and do mine.

I think putting that tip on there and finishing the exhaust will do the ticket.

Kevin (who I'm getting the accounts from) said he had a few people calling about how loud it was when he was plowing there drive way. His chevy 2500 has a stock exhaust.

How's that fisher working for you so far?
