next time you get them, got to autozone or advanced and it will save you 10+$ on the plugs alone. i mean i donnt really care much for those places but on things like that you just cannt beat there prices and the plugs are gonna be the same as anywhere else.

Certainly cheaper.
I don't put a lot of stock in esoteric metals in my spark plugs. They have ONE job. To light the fire. That's it. The 'rare earth' metals are more for longevity, than for any improvement in spark. If you change your plugs ever 30K or so anyway, you are wasting money.
I REALLY like the way my truck runs with 'em. Was a major change from the champions that were in there. (but, gotta keep in mind that my plenum is still blown, the champs were seriously ashed up, and I was getting a slew of cylinder misfire codes....... that's what prompted me to change the plugs in the first place. The difference was amazing.)

I didn't like the 3923's either in my 98. The champ truck plugs work way better IMHO. I bought them for the 2000 and put them in when I swapped the plenum plate and could not be happier with the truck plug. +1, the autolites looked brand new but just simply did not work as good. I think I still have them if anyone wants to pay shipping! LOL

The exotic metal plugs are intended for applications in which the coil secondary voltage is considerably greater than what our stock coils produce. Plain old copper plugs will quickly erode if you hit them with 40kV, while platinum, iridium, and various other elements in the expensivum family will not. On the flip side, those expensivum metals don't conduct as well as copper, so at lower voltages won't deliver as much energy because the spark duration is a tad shorter and the current in the arc channel is reduced.
This is why expensivum plugs are hit and miss in our engines. The only advantage they offer our older engines, if you can run them, is that they last four times longer.
