body lift worth it or not?
ive got a 95 1500 and was looking to put a body lift on it. Has anyone eer done this. Is it easy or hard? Anything to worry about while lifting it or how to do it. All info will be greatly appreciated.
I would suggest using a PA body lift, quality is awesome and instruction have more details than needed, which is great.
A couple things you need to think about is what your doing with front and rear bumper, I think most kits now come with the front bumper brackets included and rear not, might need some welding with tranny linkage(not sure).
Rear is easier than pulling the bed, and front is time consuming and requires some patience, theres a couple people on here that have done body lifts recently and will chime in soon

I like mine....there is a little welding of linkage and some drilling in the rear bumper brackets. The Pro Comp Kit I bought came with lifted brackets for the front. The Biggest PITA was all the rusted bolts from years of salty roads in Canada. The Impact and cordless impact I have came in real handy. Here is a before and after pic. Some people don't like them and say they cause Body roll. I have not noticed any such thing and it gives me that little extra lift when I'm mudding . Hope this helps you make a decision.

I've been happy with mine overall - no problems other then just little stuff. I've posted about it before, search for threads from me about body lifts.

My truck had a body lift already when I bought it. I'm not excited about the gap, however it does add a bit of lift for tire clearance and general height over the road. My favorite thing about it is it makes the engine a bit easier to access. I have no idea how any of you replace plug wires and caps. Getting to it with an extra couple inches of space is hard enough as it is!
One thing, if you ever get a custom bumper built, make sure you specify your body lift. For some reason when I got my bumper from Off Road Tech I completely forgot about the body lift, and the way the bumper is made there's not really a good way to put a bracket in that will lift it to remove the gap. I'm still trying to decide how to make the gap pretty. I'm thinking about some black rubber trim to fill the space, but haven't done anything with it yet.

i put a PA body lift on mine not to long ago. i had to make my own fuel filler extender, the one they sent was to big. but other than that it was a good deal. took me and two buddies to get it done in 2 nights...
