Stalling/idling issues
hey guy. i just recently replaced the tranny in my '01 1500. upon doing so i broke the cps. i replaced that today got the truck started, but now if i give it gas and let up it stalls. is there a way to adjust the throttle at all? please help. this is my DD. thanks
When you deprive the PCM of power, it forgets how to run your specific engine, and resorts to tables and charts, and sensor input. It needs to re-learn what all that stuff is telling it, and what works, and what doesn't. Usually, it only takes a few minutes/miles for the PCM to figure it out, if it seems to be taking an inordinately long time, probably would be a good idea to verify that the sensors are all in spec, and operating properly.
(I had an IAC sensor that would only run in one direction...... truck wouldn't idle worth a damn. Ever.)

She's running just fine now. Took her for about a 5-6 mile drive and everything is good. Only problem that really isn't an issue for me is it doesn't seem to be shifting into over drive.
