Default How is this thing still running!?!?

About a week after I got the transmission rebuilt, the C/C clogged up so bad that I could not even hear my pipes or go over 40mph. Well I got my new C/C today and it seems sluggish. I had to drive my truck into town and to the muffler show with the cat clogged. I was pushing it pretty hard, is it possible that I blew the plenum gasket again. I used the Hughes Plenum Fix kit before the transmission went out and it has held pretty good so far. Im gonna check tomorrow and hope I didnt F it up.

What do you guys think could be wrong with this POS?

The cat has been breaking apart over time, I have heard the "marbles in a tin can" noise for a while, but it got really really bad right before the cat went out.

All the ''honeycomb'' that was in your cat blew into your muffler.

clogged muffler maybe?

did you do a fuel pressure check?

Marbles in a tin can...that is bad. I know a guy who had a nut go into his intake and it stayed in his cylinder and just tore everything up for a while.

temporarily disconnect/remove the muffler and see if it improves. that'll tell you if its the muffler or not.

i don't think a clogged cat and cause plenum failure. only poor exhaust flow and engine won't rev or run. it cannot backup pressure into the intake, only less than ideal vacuum.

The plenum is still flawless, and it was the c/c turns out that all the broken pieces had clogged the converter. BTW does anybody know the wheel specs to a 99 2wd 1500. Ive tried three sets of rims and none fit.

http://dodgeram.org/tech/specs/wheel/specs.htm

1994-1999 1500 2WD/4WD Aluminum Wheels

Lug Pattern - 5 on 5.5", 1/2" bolt
Rim Size - 16x7.0"
Offset - +13.97mm
Backspace - 5"
Max Tire Size - 15x8.0 rims with 3.5" backspace will fit, but they stick out of the wheel wells.
You can also get adapters if you need to... but they can get expensive...
this is one company that I've found.

I use the following to help as well when looking at tire / rims:
