i know this is OT but...

I havent been on in a long time and a lot has changed for me. First I wanted to say i appreciate everyone on here who has helped me out. unfortunately last month (AUG 7) i was in a head on with a DUI. my truck was totaled and it has been a very rough, tiring, stressful 30+ days. luckily, me and my wife werent carried off on stretchers like the two dumbasses. however, we've been through a lot with different doctors and specialists. my army commission was jeopardized and i am still currently going through physical therapy on my upper body.

on a side note, i have some good news. i have been searching all over for another dodge ram and i think i have found one. a 2003 1500 4x4 with 92,000miles...i'll post pics of everything soon. but again.. this site rocks! auto insurance companies and DUI can ****ing kiss my ***!

whats up farm boy? yeah man, we're doing pretty good. i mean, we walked away from this...it was sturday night around 1830hours. we were just minding our business taking a back road to drop off some things at our storage unit and BAM...**** happens. this idiot was hauling *** around a 90* curve (as yall can see) and crossed the center line and hit us going 60mph. we were going 30mph heading into the curve. to properly negotiate this curve you need to be going at least 20mph...it was a 17yr old female driver and a 32 yr old female passenger. alcohol was involved (not by me!)...**** was intense...of course she was driving on a suspended license and had NO auto insurance!

 

Damn. No insurance.
How'd that sort out?

 

i appreicate the concern and good wishes. yeah, frame shifted my bed and slammed the corner of it into the cab...smashed the engine back and everything else behind snapped...tranny, transfer case, driveshaft..you name it...all ****ed...

when they put my truck on the tow truck, there were PIECES of my tranny laying where my truck sat...

i wish i could go with a 2nd gen...that was my favorite truck...only had 143,000miles and brand new tranny and front end...

the 03 i am getting is a gret deal and is spotless...i figured i would use my settlement check and some extra cash to get a reliable, family truck since i'll be driving cross country again in december and whenever else the army says so...

Idk if it would be worth taking her to court over but that could have ended your life there man, but thank god you were driving a ram, and not a honda. You would have been a gonner for sure.
