What did you replace the bent, half rectangular hose with? Mine is split on both ends. Dealer doesn't know what it is. Parts stores don't have it. I was considering just looping a hose on it without pinching it and clamping it on. Maybe a build sheet has it

i just used a piece of fuel line hose, and made it a little longer so it wouldn't kink. it was pretty large, about 9/16 or more.

i went to the parts store and bought about 2 feet of several sizes, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, maybe even a 5/8. the smaller stuff was vacuum hose, but the larger was fuel line. it doesn't really matter what you use. just anything that will hold vacuum.

big hoses are 5/8 inch heater hose works just fine. get a 90 degree elbow 5/8 for heater hose, cut one side down about an inch. then use a two inch section of hose to connect the shortened elbow and the first big nipple. then use a four to six inch hose length to connect elbow to the hoses coming from the front of engine can post pics if needed. do the same but with two 90 degree elbows for the other big hose. if you think the hose is pinching this will work for you. just finished this fix before work today.

If the hose is not rated for gasoline, the rubber will deteriorate and dissolve and create problems later. I had to completey rework the EVAP system on step son's Taurus because of this. Other than an 800 mile round trip and a couple hundred dollars...no real problem!

If you look at the pics in the original post its the half rectangular hose. Its only a couple inches in length and has two 90 degree bends. Atleast that's what i was asking about lol

Any hose to the EVAP system. Not PCV.

Oh ok. I didn't read the thread from the beginning. Sorry. But I'll be more than happy to look for one when I go to the JY .
