Nice write up on all your mods, I like the site to. And it looks like your vent visors went inside the window track am I right? Thats the kind I wanted but the only ones I could find went on the out side on the paint and I hate that! But if yours go inside the track ill be doing a little more shopping.

what i was wondering is how do you hook up the light itself, is there pigtails coming off the light or is it a plug?
Ah I see. Its very basic with 2 wires about 6 inches coming out of the light. No plugs. But I do not have the HID lights this is the model below the HID in cost.

That answer your question?

I used a 30 amp relay and have a small wire going to the relay from the switch on my cup holder console

see ya

Thanks, that was the main concern. I just bought a brush guard today for 100 bucks (its just like new and retails for 700!! SCORE!!!) and I want to mount some lights on it, I seen the lightforces in a mag a while ago and I was really impressed with them, and everything I've read makes me like them more. I was just concerned about wiring them up, if i needed a special plug or not.

Now the only bad part is installing the brushguard, its for a 98 and I had to have my friend whip up some new mounting brackets (bolt holes are different) and I'll spend tommorow cleaning them up with the grinder, drilling the holes in the right places and painting them [&:] Otherwise HOORAY!!!

Thanks for the kind words from the guys in the last two posts. Yes they go inside but they are a tight fit. I peeled of the tape that holds them on. The pressure from the rubber seal will hold them in the 2000 ram just fine. With the tape on it was a major *** pain to fit. With the tape off its sooo easy... trust me on that, I stuck with the Vent visor name brand from autozone.com. I had them for years on my ranger and they rock. They are the inside the channel ones. if you get the other ones... outside with stick on tape it looks like crap.

Anyhow good luck.

First I want to say nice job on that web site. you have given me so many ideas that im now going to do. I was wondering if you bought your truck in the US and got it shipped over. Im gettin my windows tinted now thanks to your pics. What i would recomend you do if go to the hardware store and buy a can of good outdoor spay paint ( i used engine paint )
and paint the honeycomb part of your grill. it makes a huge difference in my opinion. only takes a few mins. and it would look alot better if you do a nice job and tape everything off. I'll so you some pics of mine.

post up some pictures Id like to see it

sounds cool and I never thought of that...

As for the lights I hate to gloat but they are fu@kin@ awesome. If you can deal with the size. They are insane and they twist like a maglite so you can have a flood or pin point....

almost a million candle power a pop.....

Im surprised nobody jacked them here in germany. I have a highschool about 4 blocks down and I get alot of teens looking at them. I stay up till about 1-2am everynight to mess around on the computer and one night I caught a drunk kid jumping up and down in my bed of my truck like a diving board. I was going to yell at him but before I could he fell over the side in my driveway lol...

If I have time I'll make a nice video of the lights and post it up. I had a pair of kc's and they really suck compared to these. No kidding you are blinded at a quarter mile to a halfmile away. And its not a yellow light its a hot white intense beam.... Only thing I dont like is until I get a bull bar they are the first thing I will lose in a fender bender.

Cheers

220 is cheap for the intake

Id say used would be hard to come by since its a great product.

But I have seen knock off brands for like 100-140 bucks on ebay.

I'd say buyer beware on that stuff.

Good luck

I got one of them "knock off" brands KAI for $52 bucks off ebay. It had too long of s-bolt and no heat shield but has a 3.5" diameter filter worth at least $30 and doesn't look any different than a K&N. I traded s-bolts from another guy and can make my own heat shield and still be cheaper than a K&N kit. With a K&N you are paying for the name. Look at there oil filters, expensive as hell and not the highest ranked by SAE. Go figure.
