Take it to a shop and let them do it.

It costs about 150-300 for one installed.

Electric start? Que?

Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong thing, but, the last time I fired up the truck, I didn't kick start it.

I have one on my truck. I have a viper alarm and remote start. All I can say is I am glad I had someone else install it. I was going to do it my self until I got it there were so many wires and I am training to be an electrician and motor control tech so I hope that tells you something.
I love mine I use it all the time I even use it in the summer I set the a/c to come on.
There is alot of extra stuff you can get for them like remote window roll up/down but I dont have all that extra
I have this one

You could also get just a remote start
