think it will be to close to the tcase mine is about a foot and a half from the tcase and your truck is about a foot and half shorter so i bet it will be right into the back of the tcase.

im pretty sure they use the 34 gallon tanks in the 2500 qc sb trucks as well as the 2500 sc lb trucks so you should be good to go.

They also had the 35 gallon on the 2500 quad cab short beds. My brother had a '00 2500 quad cab short bed Cummins and it had the 35 gallon tank. I used to always hate to borrow it and have to fill it back up.

no, it won't fit. I tried, had them both out and everything. the long bed reg cab larger gas tanks are just that long, too long. now if you get a larger fuel tank from a 2500 club cab it will fit with minor strap modification.

Thanks guys. A friend of mine is parting out a 97 ext cab long bed V-10.He didn't tell me he had it until after the engine was sold off. 97 1500, 4x4, 5spd with a V-10 sounds like a cool project.
