Wink Wheel hub?

Hey all 98 1500 5.9. Question as too what u think. When I go from stopped to moving slow a sound from drivers side rear tire. Almost like a popping that goes away after I go faster then 10 mph. My local mechanic couldn't find a problem. I've taken tire off and cleaned lubber rear drum springs n loosened tensioner thinking maybe brake getting caught up. But still the noise there canyons else have or heard this problem?

check rear drive shaft u-joints. should be no play.
put the rear end up on jack stands. crank it up and see if you can reproduce the sound.
do you have an LSD rear end? drive slow through a parking lot and turn steering wheel from one stop to the other back and forth. does the rear end make any noise?

It's like a pop pop pop. Slow and slower I go almost a grumble. It's def from the left tore. Not right. If I cut wheel to left and go it sounds worse. I thought the brake was binding so I loosened tensioner n helped a little. But still doing it.

Jack up the rear, and rotate that tire by hand. It should roll smoothly. If it doesn't, need to find out why.
