Default its cold out and the heats not working

hey guys its me again this truck keep having problems but i suppose its things that the other guy didnt take care of. i have a 99 1500 4x4 with the 5.2 and the heater isnt as strong as it was yesterday. it still blows out air but its just a little warm if i shut it off (the fan) and turn it back on i get like 3 or 4 seconds of normal hot air but then turns back to just barely warm... any ideas or any questions that you need answered to be able to answer just ask... new water pump in it last week and both hoses are warm

Pull off the heater hoses, and run water in the opposite direction of normal flow. See how much crap comes out of the heater core.

Yep, that one, and the return line as well. You can flow water thru it both directions, (with both hoses unhooked...) until you get a nice, clean, GOOD flow.

Back flush first through the hose on the WP as stated. The hose on the passenger side may have splice about half way, it's easier to disconnect that hose at that point. If you want to, you can blow through one of the hoses and clear most of the water out, and buy some CRL and hold one hose up and pour the CRL in the other. Let it soak 10 minutes or so. Then flush it out again real good before reinstalling hoses.

Also, follow the directions in this DIY to refill. You should also raise the passenger side of the truck as far as you can to help the process along. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...nt-system.html
