Help with fan!!!
Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 V-8 '00
I am changing the water pump; but I can't get the fan off. I am trying to loosen the bolt between the fan and the water pump pulley but it just spins. Yes I have the drive belt on. Is there another way to get the fan off or is there a way I can stop that pulley!

When I changed my water pump a few months ago I cut a 2x4 and placed at the base of one of the fan blades. It worked well for me so if you don't come up with something else give that a try .

yes, go get a strap wrench at sears, should be under $20 bux and wrap it around the water pump pulley... that's how I did mine...
