Default Custom Exhaust Advice

Currently, I got a side exit exhaust before the axle. It was a cheap fix to get it pass inspection, it looks cheap and I want to bend a solid piece of exhaust pipe. Make it look cleaner. I don't have a exhaust pipe bender but I was looking at this from Harbor Freight site and found this.

http://www.harborfreight.com/16-ton-...der-35336.html

I believe the current size pipe I got is 2.5" so I figure this is good for what i'm doing.

Opinions/advice...much appreciated.

Around here.... I could get a dual exhaust installed for that kind of money...... If you plan on doing a lot of bending, it might be worth it, but, for doing just one vehicle? Not so much so.

Been looking online for side exhausts and everything i've seen is around the $300 to $500 price range...

That will just crush the pipe. You're better off buying bends (I like Columbia river mandrel bends) and cutting/welding them into the shape you want, or have an exhaust shop bend it up for you.

Actually, the machine he is looking at is just an extremely simplified version of the pipe bender most exhaust shops use. I have yet to find one around here that has a mandrel bender, to give true radius bends.......

Yeah, but that will crush it worse than a real exhaust tubing machine, also those dies are for pipe, not tubing, pipe is measured by ID, tubing is measured by OD.

Were it mine to do, I'd just hit a local exhaust shop and have them cut and bend the needed pipe, and probably just have them install it, too. It shouldn't be cheap enough to warrant doing it.
