Default wierd sound from belt/engine

The past few weeks my brand new belt has started to sqeak almost 99% of the time. now when i start up my truck i am gettign this sound that almost sounds like a bad bearing. opened up the hood and it sounds like its coming from the fan area. it is not the belt tensioner or the belt because i have just replaced it. i did by-pass the ac though and this started happening. the sound its a whining/grinding sound that you can hear even at idle and i get a slight clunk in between the sound. any advice?

Pull the belt, and check all the various pulleys. If there are bad bearings, you may be able to feel them. Also, check for dirt embedded in the grooves of the pulleys/belt. A little bit of dirt, makes a lot of noise.

Might be the water pump going bad. I don't think too long of a belt would give you the clunk/thump noise....... but, it would squeal some..... especially under load. Since yours does it at idle, I am leaning more toward a bearing going bad somewhere.

also check the alternator/pulley...after checking the belt and belt tensioner pulley, that would be the third thing i would check

Check the water pump, they do clunk when the bearing goes bad and it doesn't have to be leaking coolant either.
