Vacuum line. Stand by for mucho smoke. that's what you wanna see though. if you use synthetic oil it will likely do you no good in the crankcase, they kinda do the same thing. (Detergents in syn oil and all).

I hope you whoop this thing!! Btw- the heater core hose isn't going to hurt anything staying on there, but it was just meant to isolate the issue as a possible grounding wire.

naw i use regular oil in this pig. yea i figured id just leave the heater hose on. is it normal for the iac valve to not change engine characteristics when unplugging it? seems like i wasted money on a new one even though the old one looked hammered. hell i even put a new map sensor. replaced damn near everything. seems to accelerate smoothly but has a bumpy idle. i also noticed today that when driving say 60-70mph if i let off the throttle all the way it'll like coast for a second then it'll kinda bog or slow down more than normal. say if it was a manual transmission then u down shift early and u listen to it rumble. does that make any sense? of course i have an automatic so.... i banged on the cat, didnt hear any kind of rattle or anything.

Yeah, that makes sense. Its down shifting and the equiv of engine braking.

I was leaning toward vacuum issues, but that doesn't fit either, exactly.
