99 ram15004x4360-still runnin warm
I had to create a new acct name but still need to see if any ones had this
problem. I pulled my old eng becuz of the heads cracked and I found a good eng.
Dropped in a good running 5.9 360.
I have installed new w/pump,stant thermo.tensioner and belt and flushed radiator.
Started down the road everthing looked and sounded good. Got to the store and let it idle and it was up from the 195-200 it was running at and was at about 210. Woke up this morning and installed new fanclutch
checked hoses ran it and it seemed fine. I parked it and let it idle and there she went again. 210-220 etc.
Worst thing about it all was that I started having the same problem w/ my old engine before the heads cracked. Different eng,new cooling accessories and same problem
Building heat while idleing"auuuggghhh!!!!"
Any help out there????
It also climbs when I push it real hard,75-80mph

Sounds like you've covered all the bases & should have cured the problem.
I'd be checking the rad out a little closer to make sure you're getting good coolant & air flow. Also - I know it sounds stupid, but is the coolant level topped up? Sometimes after draining/replacing the coolant you'll get an air lock that may take a bit of driving to purge. That'll give you some high temp readings. I've done that before
One more thing, you didn't mention if was an automatic or not, but I've seen the stock tranny cooler fail and allow some ATF into the coolant, which caused the engine to start running warm. Easy enough to notice - the coolant will turn brown when mixed with ATF. Probably not the cause in your case but it's worth a look. Depending on *how* the cooler fails, you can end up with coolant in the transmission as well.
Good luck.
