Default Help!?!?!

97 5.9 liter burning alot of oil- i'll top it off, and it will be 3 qts low after roughly 150 miles. truck has 153,000 has no OD and drive mostly on highways. Please help, what should i replace?(valve guide seals) it doesn't drip or leave any puddles under the truck, doesnt smoke when in park?!

Check down your throttle body, It could be your plenum gasket has blown.

removed throttle body and im guessing that there shouldnt be oil in there correct? does this mean that the plenum gasket is blown?

Rather than assume that oil in the belly pan is a blown plenum gasket, try running the test outlined in the TSB. Also check/replace your PCV valve.

yea it was blown, took it all apart, replaced all gaskets just finshed putting it all back together but now it wont start. motor spins but wont fire, checked the fuel line at the rail and its getting fuel............what did i do now???

You find the wires you either forgot to reconnect or pinched while putting the manifold back on, probably. Those are the most common errors, anyway.

its all as it was ...the harness was on top of the valve covers so i know nothing was pinched...wtf i need it to start i need my truck for work tomorrow
