leaky trans dipstick

Default leaky trans dipstick

I just installed a new trans and with the motor running i filled up the trans to the full point. Its been sitting for 2 hours and its leaking like crazy frome the dipstick housing. The o ring is good im just not sure why this is doing it please help.

How many quarts did you use? It should be right around 10.

to be honest i have no idea pumped it straight out of a 5 ga bucket. id assume around ten.

Recheck your fluid level with the engine running, warmed up, trans in neutral. Make sure you run it thru all the gears once, to make sure everything is 'full'..... See what the level looks like.
