You dont need an x- pipe or an H-pipe to run a duals setup. It just helps ALOT with exhaust scavaging. I was thinking the same thing earlier, maybe your sucking in fresh charges of air, as you would with running open headers. Everyone vehicle does that with open headers, youll get popping and such while you let the engine whine down. I still say is your exhaust setup thats mostly causing this. But again, you may actually have unburnt fuel in the exhaust, check to see if your running rich, and check the injectors. check your pre oxy sensor too, that may be iffy and causing you to run rich.

I'm gonna be doing the plenum so I will have the injectors out....any way to check them ? or is it a visual thing? The Oxygen sensor is a brand new NTK and when it's unplugged it throws a CEL . I had it out for a long drive today and it seems to be getting better...almost like the rebuilt trans is holding on a little too long in second before it shifts....I tried to move the TV cable a touch but it won't budge.....the little button on the side is stuck in the locked position. I may bring it back to the trans shop and have him set it as it's under warranty . Thanks for your Help I will keep you posted.

How can anyone say you don't need an H or X pipe when running true duals? The o2 sensor needs a reading from BOTH banks so the PCM can adjust accordingly.

True duals by definition has no connection to the other side of the exhaust. If he were running true duals hed have two cats with sensors on both sides. If he had an x or h pipe then it would just be considered a duals setup.

Yes, look to see if there is any visible damage to the injectors. Make sure your rings are seated too.
