Default passenger side axle shaft

so i went to replace my wheel bearing but on my axle shaft, the nut has almost no threads left in front of it, i was curious as to if i should replace it or simply leave it be, because other than the threads being deteriorated there is nothing wrong with the shaft itself

Can you torque it to spec? And will it stay that way? If the answer to either of these questions is "no", replace them.

Also, if it's a castle nut that also uses a cotter pin, you should be ok.

is the problem the nut or the axle? if the nut, replace it from dealer. if axle... use good judgement. you don't want it to fall off.

well, i managed to get the nut off but it took alot of heating it up, it was on there pretty good, the axle is actually fine. i looked up some stuff on how the threads should look, and everything was fine the person who told me i would need a new axle shaft wasnt exactly on the ball with that one.
