1997 kinda hesitates off the line running a little hot i think the timing is retarded.

SCTs are great, but not so great for an engine that has problems. Especially if you get into missing and a hot engine. Email him and you can learn more about his tunes than we'll be able to tell you.

my engine has 100 miles on a fresh rebuild just need to work the bugs out.

An engine running hot is not a result of retarded timing (or the "death flash"). A hot engine is the result of something else malfunctioning. Could be the radiator, could be low coolant, could be a bad thermostat, etc. etc.

Not trying to be a jerk, but please don't create multiple threads for the same set of problems. You could have easily mentioned this in the "running a little hot at 230" thread, since your question(s) are related to that. I will merge them together for you.

Just trying to help minimize clutter so that new guys that come onto the forum later can find all the info they need in as few threads as possible.
