Default Harland Sharp 1.7 Rockers

I am looking on Summit's website at a couple sets of the Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers and have a few questions.

1. Anything else needed to install these other than the gaskets?
2. How hard are they to install?
3. Is there a cheaper/better place than Summit to get them?

Very easy to install. You shouldn't need to replace the valve cover gasket if you have the rubber/steelcore one, and it isn't leaking. It is reusable. I bought mine from Southeast Performance. They are the ones who designed them for Harland Sharp. Talk to John Mercedes. Great guy. See if they can beat that price.

What are some added benefits of them on a stock engine?

Basically, its like putting in a higher lift cam, without the hassle. Also PCM friendly.

Should we get the adjustable or non-adjustable. I also heard you have to remove a certain part so that they will fit, is that true?

Non adjustable.

Remove factory rockers AND guide plates, replace with rocker rollers on the provided pedestals. Easy job- good mod.

Yep, I believe with the calculations I did a while ago the higher ratio adds around 0.030" lift at the valve. Also the reduced friction of the rollers adds a little power too as well as makes the engine smoother, especially in the higher RPMs.

If you want them to bolt straight on, get the non-adjustables. The non-adjustables fit under the stock valve covers.

Maurice, seeing the work you've done on your rigs over at TRS, these should be a cake walk for you to install.

I just did the calculations again, it's 0.027" more for a 5.2 and 0.025" for a 5.9.

Stock 5.9 lift at the valve is 0.410" and stock 5.2 lift at the valve is 0.432".
