Anyone tried swapping seats from a 3rd gen into a 2nd gen? I know the seats in all of my 3rd gen trucks were way more comfortable then the 2nd gen seats ever thought about being....

 

Been a couple threads on that. Might even be a DIY in the FAQ section.....

You really think the 3rd gen seats are more comfortable than the 2nd gen seats? I HATED my seats in the 05 Cummins I had for a while... very uncomfortable...IMO

I love the seats in my 97 Ram, I can drive all day in that truck and never cramp up

 

There is a guy on DT that did it, believe there is even a write up. However, he did it with power seats and did a really good job.

 

yeah...i've had 3 different 3rd gen trucks and believe the seats were more comfortable in every truck....the seats in my 99 are garbage, cant hardly stand to go anywhere in that damn truck

 

94-97 seats are sweet


i also have seen 3rd seats and stearing wheels in a second gen

 

im in the process of doing swap... alot of fab work though
