ok guess ill be checking the lines, and or switch. the lines seem a bit difficult to follow tho?

i was under the impression that vac was only applied in 4wd and that the collar had to be installed in the 2wd position, but now i get it

I'm pretty sure at some point this link was provided for you, did you bother reading it? http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/repair/..._engagment.htm . And at this point, can we just get through this before you start worrying about any noises.

haha yes numerous times and i do understand now.

i just need to check the lines and see where im loosing vac. becuz apparently im not getting vac from either line. my evap system may be the cause, idk. there are two vac connections on the canister, one goes to the purge solenoid and the other just goes under the firewall and stops, it doesnt connect to anything, idk if thats supposed to be hooked up to something or not

You should have a sticker on the radiator support for the emissions. And also read this thread https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ild-vents.html

haha too funny man

dvaughan-well since the shafts wouldnt lock and wouldnt unlock when i installed the collar over both shafts (4wd position). im guessn im not gettn vac to eithr the red or black line. so i guess ive got a line break somewhere b/w the t-case and manifold, like hey you said. been at work all night and will be able to check it out wednesday. but the good thing is its not leakn yet!-hell yea

before you open it up. test for vac on the 2 lines at the cad. you have to have vac on one when in 2wd and the other in 4wd. this pushes and pulls the fork back and forth.

if you have vac on both, then i'm guessing your fork is not engaged with the collar.
