1996 Dodge 1500 wiring harness
We currently have a 1996 1500 V8. It had been sitting for a while and ground squirrels chewed up the wiring harness. I'm not very mechanically inclined so bear with me. The harness needing replacing starts at a plug under the driver's side wheel well and goes to the tail lights. We have found out the harness has been discontinued and could not find a new one anywhere. We were able to find one at a you pull it lot buts it's missing two plugs that we absolutely cannot find. One of them goes to the gas tank. All the trucks we have found at the you pull it have the gas tanks gone and the wires have been cut taking the plug with it. The truck itself is in good condition with a rebuilt transmission. We hate to junk it over something simple (well not so simple) as a plug. Can anyone help?
Grab the harness that you can get, and just transfer over the connectors you need from the one the squirrels enjoyed.
You can also check LMC truck, and see if they can get a complete rear harness.
Another possibility would be painless wiring.
