Yes, it's worn through the loom, and most certainly worn through the wire jacket. Lift the wires up gently and they will most likely be worn through. Want proof that this can happen? Here you go https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...ise-speed.html

Do the Gov pressure sensor and the Gov solenoid too. Adjust the rear band while the pan is off as long as you are you confident enough and have the right tools to do it correctly. After you put the pan back on, adjust the front band, as long as you are confident enough, and have the right tools!

Update #1: removed Tranny pan and gasket.
removed Governor solenoid and sensor Cleaned them inside and out with brake cleaner.
removed Tc Lock down and OD Solenoids Cleaned them inside and out.
Went over Wiring harness to check for broken or missing insulation
trimmed small amount loose wire cage from Harness.
Reinstalled all components .
Have not adjusted Bands yet as my cousin has not been home all day due to going to car shows.
So this will continue into tomorrow before I can put the rest together , filler up and give it a test run.

Ok Final update: Wound up using a 11/32 12 socket adjusted both bands
added 5 qts, of New Atf+4 and a new filter. Took the truck out for a spin.
I just must be lucky she shifted like a dream! all gears no problem. No strange noises ( except for the front end) Now if I can just get it to run right. Still missing like crazy!!!!
