Default lift questions

I was planning on a mild lift for my 97 diesel 2500 4x4. Originally, I was going to get 3" spacers for the front, and 2" AALs for the rear. But, my front springs are so saggy, that a 3" spacer would only lift it like an inch above stock ride height.

Does anyone make springs that will give 3" of lift? I know Skyjacker makes them, but it says non HD trucks only. It would make sense to list a different spring for the V10 and diesel than V8 trucks.

I've also thought about doing 4" in the front, but what would I need besides the springs? Longer arms, drop down pitman?

You might be able to find what your looking for at www.topguncustomz.com I recall seeing a 3" or 3.5" spring on there.

Thanks. They do have 3.5" springs for diesel, they're a bit more than I want to pay, but not bad. I think with 3.5" springs, though, I'll have to change more than just the springs, right?

From all the research I have done. It looks like everyone includes lower control arms with their 3" kits so I would think you would need them.

Ya, I noticed that, but I had a friend get a lift kit for his Jeep that came with new lower control arms, and they were the same length as the old ones, they just looked nicer because they were the welded tube instead of the formed sheet metal.

With just a 3in lift it would be best to get new lower control arms but you could get away without them.

Ya, that's why I was looking for 3" lift springs for a diesel, but all I found was for a gas 1500. 2-2.5" and 3.5" for diesel, but 2" is too short, and 3.5" I would need the control arms.
