Haha, we're only friends as far as DR goes. I helped him with some bends for a bumper at one point after a DR meet. I PM'd recently him after seeing that post because I was interested in what he had done with his truck. That's how I found out it was up for sale. God I'd hate to be him anyways, going to afghanistan and all.

I'm going for the minimal amount of height increase as possible. The 35's will pick it up quite a bit, however I don't know how much higher it will sit above its current height. I'm currently designing arms for about 18" of travel that will fit within 3" flare fiberglass. I may be centermounting my arms. I'm not sure at this point.

My goal is to build a kit that the shop will be able to sell, so this is a true R&D process.

I've got some pictures on my computer at home. I'll get those posted up this afternoon. But yes, that bumper is on there. I did the bends for him.

Sorry it took me a while to get these up. Had an accident at work and spent the whole evening dealing with that mess. Here are some pictures of how it sits now. I'm prolly gonna take it out this weekend and romp on it a bit.

Something that really bothers me is that the skidplate is crooked. However I'm not a fan of how he did the two verticals off the frame. It needs to be boxed in better, so I'll prolly end up cutting those two tubes off and replacing it with a pair of boxed members. We'll see.

Looks great for a starting point. What are you going to do with the body panels that you replace with fiberglass? I am guessing shipping the box to michigan would be hideously expensive.
