Default Starting my Ram race truck, read this for lols

Alright, so a while back I posted up that I was planning on building a Ram race truck. Not a prerunner but an actual Classed up truck. Prolly 1450 or 1500 class. Anyways, I've been shopping around for a good truck to start from. I don't care about the body because its getting glass all around, but I wanted a good interior, because I plan on making this one of the "exhibition" trucks for our shop. A lot of show with even more go. Nothing exhibits that more then a fully functional interior.

Anyways I was shopping around on craigslist and found a Ram I liked. I went and saw it and I was talking to the guy. He said he was a member on here who was banned. Viper37 then 150001ram. Anyways I drove the truck, and I talked to him a bit. Talked him down to 5k. He said he didn't actually expect to get more then 5k for it, and was happy with the deal. His reason for selling is that he's doing leaving for an IA deployment in Assganistan. I figured you guys would get a kick out of it because he was a former member and all.

Here's the link.

So anyways the plans at it stand are, long travel front/rear, glass all around, sheetmetal dash, and to essentially build a street legal race truck.

Expect a build thread shortly!

If he ran his Ram as hot as he ran his mouth, I'd say you bought a lemon, LOL.

The truck seems to be in very good shape actually. The engine runs great, I checked the intake and there's no oil in there. He also gave me documentation proving that is has a new transmission, as well as a good rear end. I've been reading some of his posts and discovered a lot about it from that also. It's like some sort of weird little time capsule..

It most definitely does. Idk about the gearing but it locks right up. Corners are pretty fun in it if you're on the gas!

Where do you find a glass body? That may be an option for my trail rig since I have thrashed the body.

Looks like an aweful nice truck.

Yea I would trust that the truck is in good running order he knew what he was talking about, and seemed to do things the right way versus the cheap half *** way, yea he had a hot temper and liked to mess with the 4x4 guys, big deal and cant wait to see some of this buildup

Google "walker evans dodge ram molds" for the bed sides, glassworks unlimited makes front fenders. You can also find doors made from the walker evans molds.
