Default 4x4 wont work

on my 96 ram 1500, my 4x4 wont work. it worked last winter, and i went to engage it and got nothing. i took the vac. lines off, only 1 was sucking, and the other didnt have a good seal around it. also is there a fuse that could be blown? it just seems weird that it was working and now its not. if anyone care give me suggestions on how to fix this problem i would greatly appreciate it.

another vacuum cad question. do they never end....

read this. no fuse. check for vac on one line in 2wd and vac on the other in 4wd. the vac must be right before anything else can work.

with the t-case in 2wd the black line should have 16-20" and the red line should have no vac. when the t-case is in 4wd the red line should have 16-20" and the black line should have no vac.

if vac checks out ok, the problem lies in the cad itself. let us know what you find

After the vacuum lines check out fine, pull the cad off, and try to slide the collar by hand. The shafts seem to get burrs after a while, and the collar doesn't slide freely.

Default Cable

Lone 136: Did you install your Posi-Lok recently? Just wondering if they still make the cable way too long like I read in another post. Thanks.
