Default Budget Ram tranny woes, need help/advice

I just put a set of used tires on my budget ram yesterday, and now i have a terrible vibration in my Tranny but only in O/D. I can turn the O/D off and this goes away, has anyone else had this issue? I am beginning to think my "Budget Ram" is a MONEY PIT!!!

Of course it is. You don't think the original owner got off it that cheap just because he was a nice guy do you?

Serious vibration in O/D is usually an engine miss. Have you read the plenum thread yet? I really recommend that you do.

thanks, i briefly skimmed through it the other day, but didnt pay to close attention. I bought the truck from a guy i work with. I have been trying to get him to sale for a couple years. He ripped the front driveshaft knucle and transfer case into 2 pieces, and traded it to me for $400 worth of guns. So far i have replaced the tires, tcase, and now the heater core is leaking along with the shimmy in the trans. (I can feel this in the trans tunnel from inside the cab BTW.) But still got less than 1000 bucks in her and the 360 only has 90k on it, tcase has 88k on it.

If you're on a budget then how are you going to be able to afford a transmission rebuild?

Budget peeps don't do mega vipers.
