Smile wiper delay not working?

alright my wipers work but only the low and high work, where there is NO delay, now i checked the fuse block and there is a place that said time delay(which was missing) im guessing that it is for the wipers. so i checked autozone's website and couldent find any time delay relays. now could someone tell me if this is like a standard relay or what. please help, also the wipers dont park at the bottom of the winsheld like they sould will replacing the relay fix this too?

ive got the same problem with my 99 and have looked into just about everything minus replacing the entire system. i tracked down the problem to hopefully being a central timing module issue. the only downside is that to get that part atleast for mine you gotta get the entire set up. as for the parking of the wipers with the delay setting being alittle messed they'll usually stop wherever u tour the switch off

My truck doesn't have the wiper delay option either. let me ask, is your truck a base model? (no power windows and door locks). I'm pretty sure the central timer module controls this and if you didn't get power options, you didn't get that luxury either. Don't quote me though

HI, I am new to this site and I fell across this post. I have a 2000 2500 with 5.9l v8 with the same problem. It has power windows locks mirrors the whole nine yards except for power seats. could somebody point me in the direction of fixing it. I put a new wiper motor and wiper in but they still don't work. Any advise is great. Cody

I also have this problem on my truck 1994 Ram 1500 4x4. It has PW PL A/C auto trans ect. but nothing fancy. I had intermittent wipers when I bought the truck but about 2 years ago they would only work occasionally, hi/low worked all the time. I tested the multifunction switch (stalk with turn signals, wipers ect) using the 1994 Dodge Ram Dealer service manual and it tested out of spec. I have not replaced it yet but it is available and was $70 at O'rilleys. I plan on using one out of a parts truck I have but just haven't gotten around to it.

make sure you don't have a blown or missing fuse in the end of the dash. it might be number 9? labeled something like pdl or pw or power seats or something.

it also powers the CTM, which controls intermittent dealy timing.
download the 01 service manual for complete wiring diagrams including the wiper system.
