TGC 3" lift install this weekend
I am installing my TGC 3" lift and Rough Country dual stabilizer this weekend and just wanted to know if there is anything I need to know. Tips, tricks, things to look out for. Thanks for the help.
Tips for doing a lift kit, Safety first, Clean area to work in or on.If you have to change the lower control arm's get some new cam bolts before you start, A chain though the coil spring to the frame when you remove it(ever see a spring fly across a shop I have not good),when lowering the axle to remove the spring lower it from the front or behind the wheel opening(don't work in the wheel well when removing the spring). I find it easier if you just remove the swaybar while doing this job. A pickle fork for ball & stud links,If doing add a leaf two extra pin bolts.Gloves, band aids or e tape, Start spraying down all the nuts and bolts day's before you start, Bevey for after the day is done.

Make sure you have all the bushing for the shocks I didn't and I rode around with half of my truck taller than the rest. They did make it up they overnighted the parts to me of free.
Also a good company to deal with my lift is from there.

I get mine from the dealer, But I would think that most parts stores have them. There cheap like $4 per bolt and you will need two. If these bolts give you any gruff just bust them off and punch out the old ones. Remember to mark them before you remove them so you can get it to an alignment shop.

So I was sitting here thinking and why not take the truck into a tire or alignment shop and get a front end inspection done, it should be free. By doing this you will know what kind of shape it's in before you start and then there will be no suprizes when you get the front end alignment done.
