I ended up cutting a small hole in the frame and dropping a bolt down through the original hole and putting a washer and nut with red Loctite. The only thing I have left to do is put on the double steering stabilizer, but that can wait.

My sig has the updated picture with the lift installed. Thanks to everyone who helped me get through this. It is greatly appreciated.

That looks really good, are you doing rims and tires as well? So how long before you get the 5" kit LOL that's the way it seams to go once you start most can't stop.

Thanks Merc. With all the trouble I had with the 3", I don"t think I want to try for the 5". Yes, I want to do rims and tires some time in the future. I like the look of your rims. I want to go with black rims and I was leaning towards the Mickey Thompson Radial MTZ for tires. I want an aggressive looking tire that does good both on and off road, plus snow. Heard good things about the MTZ's, but I am open to suggestions on rims and tires. I don't want to go any bigger than 305/70/R16 though. I was just going to go with 285/75/R16 or stay with the size I have of 265/75/R16. Any thoughts?

I have only had these MT-R's on for about a month, So far they are a excellent tire but time will tell. I really liked the Cooper STT tires I had on before these, I am almost pissed at myself for just not getting another set of them. The MTZ are one tire I have not run, But I have run the following, Dickcepek fc-2, Brigestone Duller A/T Revo, Cooper STT. Out of all these tires I would pick the Coopers, But they are not cheap. As for tire size 285/75R16 is were I would stop. I think it was about 3 years ago I went from the 285/75R16 to 315/75R16 and the front end stated using way more replacement parts. As for the rims on my truck they look good in the pic but very poor quality rims.

What about 305's? Are they not the same size as 285 except an inch wider? I was tempted to stick with the 265's because they don't look bad but I think a little bit bigger would look better. Where is a good place to get tire and wheel packages online? Everywhere I look they keep wanting to give me smaller tires. They are basing it on my stock size. I don't want to spend a fortune on tires and rims. Just a good set of black rims and decent all around tires that look like they belong on a truck.

I think once you see a 285/75R16 mt tire on that truck you won't be upset, 1 inch wider may cause rubbing and will be more likely to wander down the road. As for where to buy tires, that's a different ball game up here from down there, you guy's get some great deals on tires and rims. In the pic is 3"lift and 285/75R16 Dickcepek FC-2.

I like it with the 285's on it. I think that is what I will go with, plus the advantage of less chance to rub. Which tires were those in the picture?

Those tires are Dick Cepek fun country 2 's, imo they ride hard, pickup and throw small rocks very bad, last forever, very good in the wet and dry, ice was so so but so is any mt tire on ice, very good in the snow and not to loud at hwy speed.
