Well I
thought I found a Ram I liked. but..its a long bed. And its reg.cab. And to me that always looks so weird, 2 doors with a long bed..what do yall think?

I also found this 02 Ram I really like, but its listed at 5k. you think he could go to 3500? Link below.
And there is also a 99 4X4 reg. 5.2 which I like, its 4k but from a dealer. Do dealers ever even go down, cause to me, I never have luck with them.

I'm a fan of the '99 long bed and 2 door, throw some nice rims on it and it will look great. Then again I got a 2nd gen truck so I'm a bit bias.

EDIT: I'd take a look under the rear wheel wells on that '99 to be safe, if it is from my neck of the woods (the midwest) they spanked those fender flares to cover up some rust.

I knew what I was looking for when I found mine... The guy wanted $3600 when I called him, then when I went to look at it, I found out that the rear end was going to need to be rebuilt and it needed tires and a few other small things done. I offered him $2200 cash and laid it in front of him if I took the truck as is with the work it needed. He said that he couldn't take that much less so we shook hands and I went home. The next morning, he called me and asked if I could meet with him to do the paperwork on it.. I rebuilt the rear end myself and replaced the front brakes and rotors and got the newer set of wheels and couldn't be happier with my purchase.

It really depends on the person, and you have to shoot straight with them and be respectful while talking. Good luck with your search.

deals are out there

i picked up mine for $1800......The craigslist add said $2750....when i called he said he needed it sold to pay a fine so he could get his liscence back, so he said $2300.....i showed up with $1800 cash and he took it.....

had 187K, started right up, had recipts for 4.10 gears installed, rebuilt transmission, and fuel pump. only rust was bottom of doors and rockers, came with steps, bed rails, and truck box, CD player with Alpine speakers.....has all options, a/c, power everything.....BEST vehicle purchase ive ever made.....yea ive put about $7K in the last year into it, and my t-case is junk right now, but Im still VERY happy about my purchase.

ive also decided that when i get my next truck (CTD Megacab) that i will still keep my Ram now, and build it to be my mud truck.....I will never sell my truck, im the last owner for her. someone could show 5K in my face and id say no.....i have to much blood sweat and tears into this thing since ive done ALL the work myself thats been done. I love my RAM

Agreed show up, on time, cash in hand/pocket, don't be overly excited and go through the whole truck thoroughly. If you don't know what you are looking at bring or take it to someone who who you trust that really does.

Cash is the king of negotiating the more the seller is motivated the more this statement is true.
