Question 1997 Harmonic Balancer question

I had my harmonic balancer fall apart on my 1997 5.9. I'm having a little issue finding a replacement. The balancer on the truck is the 6 bolt pulley to balancer style. I went to Auto Zone to get a new one but the one they have in stock is a one piece style that has the single crank bolt. While looking through different years and engines the same part kept showing as the only style available. Did Dodge at some point discontinue the 2-piece style and go with the single piece style? Even when looking online the single piece style keeps popping up for the replacement part.

Can't answer your question but make damn sure to get one for the 360 (5.9) and not for the 318.

Harmonics only came on the 5.9....5.2 is internally balanced....

just get the balancer, it comes with crank pulley, and balancer, and i dont really understand what problem you're having....theres only one type of balancer that goes on our trucks, the ones from AZ DO fit the truck.

Every internal combustion engine has a harmonic Dampener on the front. Sure, some are balanced differently, depending on if the engine is internally, or externally balanced. "balancer" is actually a misnomer, but, for some reason, is the 'accepted' description of that feller hanging off the front of the crank.

Now, my question becomes, which end of the engine is the OP looking at?

Used to be called vibration dampeners.
