Truck Quit!!!
guys, i have the coil off the truck...when i check resistance between the two small pins inside (the ones the connector connects to) i get a reading....when i check with one lead on the big pin and either one of the small pins i get no reading. Now, this is not a high end multimeter but i believe i should get readings from both tests right?
Thanks
Brad

There should be some kind of resistance with an ohm meter. Replace the thing(and while your at the parts store get a HAYNES,it has detailed info on how to check the coil). Worst case, for 20 bucks you have a spare.
Coil was the issue....perhaps
...truck fired right up with the new coil on. So, it was the culprit...but, now my mind is playing tricks with me and it seems now when i let off the gas rpms dip way down..then come back. Out in the back feild i backed up onto a jump and it quit. Started right back up though. So, my questions are as follows;
1. Anything i should check or worry about that actually made the coil bad? (looks like old coil was original so i am not surprised it went kaput)
2. A little less than a quarter tank of fuel...this maybe have anything to do with quit and rpm thing?
3. Am I just a fool who is now haunted by the highway breakdown?
Thanks
