Default a few upgrades for the ram

well a couple weeks ago there was a thread about someone making custom grille inserts out of gutter guards for their dakota, well i tried it out on my ram and i think it was easy (only took me about 1.5 hours) and cheap (only cost like $9) and looks really good (almost like the $150 all chrome mesh grille in the lmc catalog!).
heres a before

my original one is on bottom with no-tach.
the new one is out of a durango, the only difference is the 4x4 light now says part-time 4wd and the mileage says i have 150k instead of 110k, and it only cost me $30!

the only problem i had was the high beam light would stay on till i turned the headlights on. even with no key and the truck off. the solution was just remove that bulb from the cluster. other than that one problem i like it. just plug and play!

i also took the whole cluster apart cleaned out all the dust, check/replaced the burnt out bulbs, and painted the inside trim white to add a little color to my dash. i havent taken a pic of them installed but ill get one tomorrow when its bright outside.

but tell me what you guys think.

Looks pretty good.
How did you attach them to the grille?
Did you leave the honeycomb behind them?

Picked up the gutter guards 6 months ago while at Lowes buying my 80gal compressor. Ive only cut the templates for the grille & fender openings. Havent cut the material yet. Still debating between chrome finish or Indy blue &/or extend stripes to them (Ill powdercoat them)

I did the gutter mesh in my Saturn a few years ago, it came out pretty good. Looked better than the $60 mesh they sell for cars.. I thought about doing it on my truck when I bought it, but never got around to it. Kinda wanted a billet grill, but I'm too cheap.
